COMMISSION SUPÉRIEURE TECHNIQUE DE L IMAGE ET DU SON
La CST est une association dont les membres comprennent des techniciens des domaines du cinéma, de la télévision et du multimédia. Ils sont unis autour d un but commun : promouvoir les évolutions techniques qui contribuent à améliorer la qualité dans l industrie audiovisuelle. La CST remplit une mission de veille technologique pour toute la profession ; elle fournit une assistance technique pour plusieurs festivals et effectue des expertises pour de nombreux organismes du cinéma et de l audiovisuel.
PARTICIPATION SPÉCIFIQUE AU FESTIVAL DE CANNES : La direction technique de toutes les projections. Sur son pavillon à Pantiero, La CST organise des master-
classes, « CanneS Technique », qui invitent les experts et défricheurs du 7e Art à partager les enjeux de leurs métiers et/ou les nouvelles technologies qui les accompagnent.
Le Prix CST de l artiste-technicien, successeur du Grand Prix de la CST, récompense le meilleur artiste-technicien ayant collaboré à la fabrication d un film de la Compétition officielle.
Le Prix CST de la Jeune Technicienne récompense une jeune femme cheffe de poste dans un film français pré- senté au Festival de Cannes.
The CST is an association whose members include technicians from the world of cinema, television and multimedia, united by a common aim: to promote technical evolutions that contribute to improving quality in the audio-visual industry. It is a technology watchdog for the whole profession, provides technical assistance for several festivals and performs expert appraisals for numerous film and audiovisual authorities.

Technique masterclasses to which they invite experts and trailblazers in the film world to share the challen- ges of their industry and/or the new technologies that accompany them.
The CST Award for best Artist-Technician is the conti- nuation of the CST Technical Prize, awarded to a tech- nician whose work is a decisive element in the direction of a film in the Official Competition.
The CST Award for best Young Female Film Technician rewards a head of department from a French film crew at the Festival de Cannes.
