Admission to screenings

BADGE ACCESS

Your badge is required to access the Festival, Marché du Film and Village International zones, demarcated by security checkpoints.

Along with a ticket, your badge allows you to attend screenings of the Official Selection and parallel sections (Directors’ Fortnight, Semaine de la Critique, ACID and Cannes Cinéma).

Without a ticket, your badge allows you:

• Last-minute access: if you have not obtained tickets, do not hesitate to join the last-minute queues, which allowed more than 10,000 spectators to attend screenings in 2023.

ACCESS TO THE TICKET OFFICE

The online ticket office provides all festival attendees with free access to screenings of the Official Selection and parallel sections (Directors’ Fortnight, Semaine de la Critique, ACID and Cannes Cinéma) based on their accreditation category.

Please note that in addition to a ticket, access to certain screenings requires the presentation of a badge. When this is the case, a ‘badge’ pictogram is present on paper tickets, and the words ‘with badge’ are present on dematerialized tickets.

Once a seat is attributed to you for a screening, you are guaranteed it and there is no reason to arrive well in advance of the screening. For the majority of screenings, a time slot for accessing the theatre is indicated on the ticket. Please observe this.

Tickets may be presented electronically or in a paper version. They are personal and the sale of tickets is strictly prohibited. Anyone contravening these rules risks prosecution.

LAST MINUTE ACCESS

In the event that seats are still available, the theatres of the Festival will allow access to badge holders for all screenings of the Official Selection and parallel sections.

FREE ADMISSIONS

Every evening from 9:30pm on, the Cinéma de la Plage provides open-air screenings for all to enjoy.

Admission: Plage Macé.

THE GRAND THÉÂTRE LUMIÈRE

Presents the feature films in Competition, Out of Competition and the Midnight Screenings.

Two Gala screenings take place every night (around 7 pm and 10 pm). Out of consideration for the artists and crews who come to present the culmination of their long work, the Festival asks them to present themselves in tuxedos or evening gowns at the bottom of the red steps for these screenings. In the absence of this, you may wear a cocktail dress, a dark trouser suit, a dressy top with black trousers, a “little black dress”, a black or midnight blue suit with a bow tie. Elegant shoes, with or without heels, are required (no trainers). We ask attendees to avoid bringing backpacks, tote-bags or large bags.

By attending screenings at the Grand Théâtre Lumière, you accept that you may be photographed and/or filmed.

THE AGNÈS VARDA THEATRE

Presents day-after screenings for feature films of the Official Selection (Competition, Out of Competition, Cannes Premiere, Cannes Classics) and Special Screenings.
Admission: Roof of the Riviera (via the Forecourt on the sea side.

THE BUÑUEL THEATRE

Presents the Cannes Classics programme, the La Cinef Selection and the Masterclasses.
Admission: via the main entrance of the Palais level 5

THE BAZIN THEATRE

Presents day-after screenings for feature films of the Official Selection.

THE CINEUM CINEMA

The Cineum Cannes cinema, at 210 avenue Francis Tonner, Cannes 06400, has three screening rooms.
Access: Festival-goers can travel to the Cineum free of charge on the following bus routes: Line A Palm Express and Line 1, accessible from the SNCF train station – on presentation of a QR code which can be found in “My Cannes“.

Two bus lines take you there:

• The Palm Express A line: with an increased frequency every 6 to 12 minutes, depending on the time of day (Cineum stop: ‘Saint Cassien’)
• Line 1 (Cineum stop: ‘Coubertin’ or ‘Palais des Victoires’)

The Arcades Theatre presents a programme exclusively for accredited attendees of 3 Days in Cannes (third session) comprised of films from the Official Selection.

Offers open-air screenings each evening from 9:30 pm.
Admission: open to all depending on the number of available seats, Macé Beach.

DIRECTORS’ FORTNIGHT

A parallel section independent from the Festival de Cannes, organised by the French Directors’ Guild (SRF, Société des Réalisatrices et Réalisateurs de films). The Directors’ Fortnight screenings will take place at the Noga/Croisette Theatre, in screening room 1 of the Arcades Theatre and at the Olympia Theatre. ACID

A selection proposed by the Association for the Distribution of Independant Cinema (Association de cinéastes pour la promotion et la diffusion des films indépendants).
